“Loneliness is the absence of connection not company” – Kamilla Tolnoe

Social capital changes as we get older. People move away, die, our bodies change making mobility & in person connections challenging. How can we combat this loneliness?

  1. Begin with having insight and knowing yourself. Answer the questions below:
    • What are things I admire about myself?
    • What is important to me?
    • How can people support me?
  2. Write down how many times you communicate & connect with others.
    • When it comes to helping others, what you can offer to someone who needs
      support?
  3. Think about your communication style:
    • How do you communicate with others?
    • How do you want someone to communicate with you?
